Oegugin

Privacy

Plain-language privacy policy for Oegugin: Korean Dictionary.

Effective 29 August 2026

What stays on your device

Your searches, Sentence Lens input, imported or typed reading text, saved vocabulary, review history, learner preferences, and course progress are stored locally. Oegugin does not require an account and does not upload this content to the developer.

Optional product analytics

When analytics are enabled, Oegugin sends content-free feature events, coarse device and region information, an app-instance identifier, and App Store purchase events to Google Analytics for Firebase. It never sends search terms, Korean text, imported documents, saved sentences, dictionary identifiers, contact details, or advertising identifiers. Analytics are used to improve feature journeys and subscription outcomes, not for advertising or cross-app tracking. You can disable analytics at any time under You → Data and trust; doing so also resets the local analytics identifier. Oegugin configures no advertising or crash-reporting SDK.

Purchases

Oegugin Pro purchases are processed by Apple. The app reads verified StoreKit transaction status to unlock features, but the developer does not receive your payment-card information.

Device services

Pronunciation uses voices installed on your device. Document import uses the system file picker. Oegugin does not request contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, photo library, or advertising tracking permission.

Deletion

Delete individual reading projects and saved items inside the app. Disabling analytics resets its local identifier. Deleting the app removes its remaining local data, subject to normal device backups managed by you or Apple.
